I always find travel particularly satisfying. Particularly when I'm deliberate seeing specific things. On a recent trip to Europe I tried very hard to see every car thing I could. I stopped at the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in the Netherlands.
One thing you can't plan is the different vehicles you'll see on the side of the road. While all the shops and museums I visited were very cool, I also saw some neat vehicles in the real world. I saw multiple Tesla Model D sedans. I also saw a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . If you haven't seen one this is what it looks like.

What is it? I had never seen one. It's a small electric city vehicle that straddles the line of car/motorcycle like so many !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! these days. It doesn't have a long range, 60 miles. I believe this is ok as most people's daily drives relatively short, especially in cities. Being electric it doesn't spend time idling and it's very small so it parks well.

In an interesting way that shows how the whole world is connected, I had been reading about the 3-D printed car by !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! a while ago. This vehicle uses the same motor as the Twizy. Neat.
Welcome to the Future!

saw one of these a few months ago. had a sit in it , felt weird being toward the centre , no windows , but sadly unless Australia gains a quadricycle category for cars these won't be coming down under. :(

most of the local motors strati is Twizy, the headlights, Tailight assembly, steering wheel, column and instruments, hubs (so I assume most of the suspension).
Also, Twizy F1.

It was a great museum. If you look up on their history they probably had the first CVT. Unfortunately it didn't carry forward. It was used in some more recent F1 cars, at least as a prototype. I believe it was banned for "being to fast" allegedly at least. Now DAF only makes Semi trucks and engines. Their car history is quite interesting though.

Yeah, I owned a Daffodil (600) once. It's a cool little machine with clever engineering. The tranny is basically belts and pulleys. "The Dutch took the clutch" was the slogan when they sold them in the U.S.
